A repair is usually the right call when the roof is under about 15 to 20 years old and the damage is localized to one leak, a flashing failure, or a patch of storm-lifted shingles. Widespread granule loss, soft decking across multiple areas, or a roof already near the end of its life is more likely a replacement. We give an honest recommendation during the free inspection, never an automatic upsell.
We prioritize active leaks and can usually get out within a day or two for a diagnosis, sooner if water is actively coming into the house. Storm-related emergencies get same-day priority whenever possible.
A tarp is a temporary measure to stop water intrusion while the permanent repair is scheduled and materials are sourced. It is not a substitute for the actual flashing, decking, or shingle repair, and we always follow up with the permanent fix.
Storm and wind related damage is often covered. We photograph and document the damage and work directly with your adjuster to support the claim. Wear-and-tear or age related issues are typically not covered, and we tell you honestly which category your repair falls into.
A DIY patch can mask a leak temporarily but rarely fixes the actual source, and working on a roof without the right safety equipment is genuinely dangerous. A professional repair traces the leak from both the roof and the attic side and fixes the cause, not just the symptom.
